Lucy B Charters

Lucy B Charters runs out of Sunset Marina on Front Street in South Portland, working Casco Bay and the Gulf of Maine aboard a Phoenix 29 Sportfish. Captain Chris, who has roughly 30 years on New England and Gulf of Maine waters behind him, splits trips between fishing charters and sightseeing runs.

Anglers go after striped bass, mackerel, groundfish, shark, and tuna both inshore and offshore, while non-fishing trips head for remote beaches, private islands, and a closer look at Casco Bay's lighthouses and old forts. Before running his own boat, the captain worked as a deckhand for Hy-Line Cruises and a sternman on commercial fishing vessels.

Charters are private, so the day's pace and stops are set by whoever books the boat.
