Gunther Brown is an Americana roots rock band from Portland, Maine. Their first two full length albums--Good Nights for Daydreams (2014) and North Wind (2016)--were met with praise like "most sorrowful local record since Ray Lamontagne’s Till the Sun Turns Black”, “Gunther Brown’s debut album is forty minutes of resignation and despair set to one of the most mournful soundtracks you’re likely to hear this year or any other. Gunther Brown is now presenting, In the Environment, a series of live audio and video recordings. Captured in interesting and unexpected places, these performances capture the songs in a single-take recording live off the floor.
