About This Event

featuring Joel Savoy and David Greely :>) These are all superb musicians who love the opportunity to work with one another whenever they can. including rhythm section Brian Williams on upright bass and Michael Bram on drums, vocals and percussion. Johnny Nicholas has spent more than five decades living the blues. A consummate songwriter, singer and multi instrumentalist, he learned firsthand from masters including Big Walter Horton and Johnny Shines, developing a sound enriched by Texas swing and South Louisiana traditions. His recordings include the Grammy nominated Too Many Bad Habits box set and his performance with Jimmie Vaughan on A Tribute to the King of Zydeco, honoring Clifton Chenier, which won the 2026 Grammy for Best Regional Roots Music Album. The All Stars strive to provide original material steeped in American roots music traditions. Their sound is gritty and soulful played at low volume levels without sacrificing infectious toe tapping rhythms and high quality concert dynamic sounds that are suited to listening or dancing or both. And we love all that!
